Purpose
We invite you to participate in a research study on the impact of compost use practices on small and medium-sized Indiana vegetable farms. Your responses will help us understand the effects of compost on soil health and nutrient management.
Benefits
Your input will help us develop educational resources and programs to support Indiana Farmers in making informed decisions to improve soil health. If you opt in to have samples collected from your farm, and your farm is selected for sampling, the research team will provide you with detailed soil and compost laboratory test results at no cost to you.
Participation
This survey is a brief online questionnaire that should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. After completing the online survey, you can opt in to have the team visit your farm to collect soil and compost samples. Please click below to read the letter to growers prior to taking the survey.
Complete survey by October 15, 2025
